The Family Leadership Conference
Every year, as summer draws to a close, WCFS families gather from across the nation for a weekend conference in the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside.
This annual event, held at Roxbury Holiness Camp, near Orrstown, focuses on encouraging families in building Biblical foundations and discovering God's vision for their home and their children's education.
We call it the 'WCFS Family Leadership Conference'.
The conference is a whole family event designed to keep the family together for encouragement and edification in their homeschool adventure. It's a chance to learn, to fellowship, and to be inspired. It is also a wonderful time of recreation, refreshment, and enjoying the beauty of nature.
At WCFS, we Treasure God's Design for the Family. We value the family unit as a special center designed by God for teaching and training children. God has a purpose for placing children in families, and that purpose should be the highest objective of every home.
If you plan to attend this year, please carefully read and fill out the FLC Registration Form linked below.
We look forward to seeing you at Camp in August!
-
The Conference is open at no cost to all enrolled WCFS families, and open to non-WCFS families for a small fee.
(Please see the FLC Registration Form for exact costs.)
Saturday’s sessions are mandatory for all enrolled WCFS families, but we would really love to have your family attend the full conference.
-
If financial hardship is an obstacle to your family attending the conference in person, please contact the WCFS office for information about potential conference scholarships.
-
Registration for the conference is DUE July 15 and should include your accommodation needs, your Student Council fundraiser Saturday sub orders, and your RSVP for the three WCFS-sponsored meals (Friday lunch, Friday dinner, and Saturday dinner).
A late registration fee of $10 applies for forms received after July 15. Registration closes August 9th.
-
If you are an enrolled family and are unable to attend the conference in person, you must either register to livestream the conference (no extra charge) or request an excused absence ($30 fee).
Otherwise, you will be charged an unexcused absence fee ($55).
-
The conference lasts from Thursday evening to Sunday morning, spanning 3 nights.
All conference sessions and activities take place on site at Roxbury Holiness Camp.
Attendees are invited to register to stay on-site at the campgrounds in one of Roxbury's many cabins, hotel rooms, or tent or camper sites, or they may find their own accommodations off-site and travel to and from the campgrounds for the length of their stay.
To register to stay at the campgrounds, please fill out the FLC Registration Form and send it to us by July 15th.
-
WCFS is sponsoring 3 meals this year: Friday lunch, Friday dinner, and Saturday dinner, which will be our traditional picnic in the pavilion.
The WCFS Student Council will be selling subs for Saturday lunch.
If any of your family plan to attend any of those meals or want order a sub, please let us know through the FLC Registration Form by July 15th.

The Conference contains teaching sessions and group activities for the whole family together, as well as specialized sessions that focus on the distinct needs of moms, dads, and children.
Child care with a purpose is provided for general sessions.
